Each worksheet has 10 patterns where students predict a number two to four places past the ones shown.
This worksheet shows four numbers of a pattern and asks for one that sits two to four places further on. Everything else on the site stops at the next number, and asking for the seventh when four are shown is what turns a pattern into a rule - a student can count on, but reaching it by applying the rule three more times is the point. The number asked for is checked against the three-digit limit, not just the numbers printed. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
