About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 6 solid figures for students to draw a net for.
This worksheet shows a solid figure and asks the student to draw a net for it. The standard says to recognize and draw a net, and while matching a net to a solid is already covered, nothing asked a student to produce one. It is built from the surface area sheet with the area taken out: the same page shape, a solid on top and the net beneath, except that here the net is the answer rather than the working. A solid has many correct nets - eleven for a cube alone - so the instructions ask for one and the key is labelled as one possible answer. The figure carries no dimensions, which would only suggest that the net has to be drawn to scale. Sheets can be customized or assigned as printed practice.
