This worksheet counts on and back by 0.1, 0.01 and 0.001, with one number missing from each pattern. A sequence asks the same question four times over and makes the roll visible: the student steps the same amount repeatedly and watches the place to the left tick over, which is the mental math the standard asks for rather than a single lookup. Every run crosses a place value and the starting digit is chosen so that the roll lands exactly on the missing number. The first term is always given and every number is written to three places. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
