About this worksheet
Each worksheet has 12 shapes where students write how many lines of symmetry the shape has.
The two worksheets already on this skill both ask the question sideways. One shows a shape with a line already drawn and asks whether that line is a line of symmetry, so the student judges a line someone else chose. The other shows four shapes and asks which has exactly two, where the count is a filter rather than the answer. Neither asks a student to look at one shape and say how many lines it has, which is harder: nothing to compare against, and no way to stop after finding one. Every count here is computed from the shape's own points rather than read from a list, so the number and the drawing cannot drift apart. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
