Writing an Inequality from a Word Problem Worksheet Download
The four choices are always the SAME variable and the SAME number with the four symbols, listed in the order greater than, greater than or equal to, less than, less than or equal to. Nothing can be eliminated by looking at the numbers - the whole question is which symbol the sentence means, and telling more than from at least is exactly the distinction it is built to test. Each situation is locked to the symbol its wording means and the situations are drawn without replacement, so every page carries all four symbols. Sheet 96 writes an inequality from a phrase and 97 reads one off a number line; this is the word-problem form.
