Covering Rectangles with Unit Squares Worksheet Download

This worksheet shows one unit square beside an empty rectangle, both drawn at the same scale, and asks how many of those squares it takes to cover the rectangle. Nothing is measured and no numbers are given - the student has to see the rectangle as rows and columns of unit squares. The answer key reveals the tiling inside each rectangle, so the rows-and-columns structure is visible once the work is done.
