Each worksheet has 6 problems choosing the point on a probability continuum that shows the probability of an event.
The standard behind this sheet asks students to represent outcomes on a probability continuum from impossible to certain, and a continuum is a picture - but the worksheets that came before it all answer in words. This one draws the line, marks impossible at zero, certain at one and equally likely at one half, and asks which of five points shows the probability of an event. The points sit on exact ticks rather than in vague bands, so the line has to be read as a number line: a student who only matches a word to a region cannot answer it. Whenever it fits, one of the wrong points is the complement - counting what is not being asked for is the mistake this picture invites. Sheets can be customized, turned into flash cards, or assigned for online learning.
